PADI Discover Snorkelling
Snorkelling is where you swim along the surface of the water whilst keeping your face underneath and using a mask and snorkel to enable you to continue to breath at the same time. The mask lets you see clearly underwater so you can enjoy underwater life whilst swimming along.
The PADI Discover Snorkelling course teaches you how to enjoy watching life below the surface and comfortably breathe with your face down whilst swimming along.
What You Learn
Snorkelling techniques including checking buoyancy, surface swimming, clearing water from your snorkel and clearing your mask.
How to choose, adjust and use skin snorkelling equipment.
Basic safety guidelines for being in and around the water.
Going on an optional snorkel dive at a local dive site.
The Equipment
The PADI Skin Diver course teaches you how to use basic snorkelling equipment including a mask, snorkel, fins, snorkelling vest, exposure protection like a wet suit and dive weights as needed. We will provide all the equipment you need.
How Long Will It Take?
1 hours in the classroom and 1 hours in the local pool.
